Pioneering a Sustainable Future
for the Community

Sutera goes beyond building homes. We are devoted to cultivating a community that stands the test of time. For us, sustainability means caring for people, the environment, and the future. We aspire to create a zero-waste township, aiming to minimize the waste sent to landfills and breathe new life into materials through the collective efforts of our community. To achieve these goals, we have initiated various projects.

Green Vision

To create a zero waste and green living environment, beginning with ourselves and residents, ultimately expanding to our community and the larger society.

Green Mission

To cultivate good living habits within our stakeholders through various Sutera Good Earth projects and live by example so that all will understand and follow the principle of “Good Habits Are Better Than A Carefree Life”.

Sutera Good Earth Project

We strive to not just build homes, but also to restore our natural surroundings. The Sutera Good Earth Project was launched to promote the application of the 5Rs principles (Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & Responsible) as well as beneficial green practices in our daily lives.

Sutera Good Earth Farm

Sutera Good Earth Farm (SGEF) is an initiative to spread green consciousness by feeding our loved ones with healthy, naturally farmed, and pesticide-free vegetables. This community farm focuses on converting food waste into compost for the farm and the surrounding neighbourhood’s landscaping. The composting initiative is a collaborative effort involving our F&B tenants at Sutera Mall, F&B shops at Sutera Square, and the residents in the neighbourhood.
In addition to composting, our farm is home to a variety of animals, including ducks, rabbits, birds, and others. We offer guided farm tours that provide a fun and educational experience for families and children, promoting bonding and enriching children’s education through hands-on learning with nature. We have also set aside dedicated plots of land for residents to adopt or participate in growing vegetables and fruits and reconnect with Mother Earth simultaneously.

Kuru-Kuru

Kuru Kuru represents “re-circulation” in Japanese. The Kuru Kuru collection point serves as a meeting place for people to bring in their “unnecessary but still usable” items, allowing others to take these items and reuse them. The concept originated from Kamikatsu, Japan, a “Zero Waste” town. Not only does Kuru Kuru give these items new life and keep them in circulation, but it also inculcates good Earth-friendly habits based on the principle that “Good habits are better than a carefree life”.
Currently, Kuru Kuru’s collection point is located at Sutera Mall, Lower Ground Level beside loading bay 1.
The Kuru Kuru Exchange Event is held at Sutera Good Earth Farm quarterly, on the 3rd Saturday of the month.

Corporate Social Responsibility

In addition to creating spaces that enhance residents’ well-being, we also actively engage with local communities and participate in initiatives that contribute positively to the social fabric of the neighbourhoods we develop.
